I’ve been with my boyfriend a year and a couple months now, he’s the only boyfriend I’ve ever had. For the majority of the time, it’s easy being together because he’s gone most weeks or part of the week because of his job. It’s also easy because we get along and love one another. The one thing I’m struggling to learn is how to not only how to have a disagreement like an adult (because I’ve only done that for years with siblings), but also how to say it in a way that he will understand. I’m far from figuring this out because I tend to get worked up and typically, at least in my case, it’s rare for an argument to end on peaceful terms and I usually get fed up enough that I just stop talking because not only do I not want to make things worse but it seems like nothing I say is being understood how I meant for it to. I might be a writer but I’m terrible with words when they’re going from my brain to my mouth. Practice, patience, and remembering!
Whew! I am so glad the first half of this post was somehow saved! I finished it and was ready to post it after attaching a picture but my laptop was lagging and I lost the post. Anyhow, I forget most of what I had wrapped up this post with. It was something do with the grey bleakness of winter. It lasts so many months and the lack of sunshine and warmth is depressing. It helps a little to have a basket full of puppies for cheer. When I wrote and was going to post this they could better fit in the basket, it might be too squishy for them now. They were only in it temporarily while I cleaned their area.
